STUDIO POLICIES

 

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

Not a problem! You may cancel your reservation free of charge up to 8 hours in advance for classes and the class will be credited back to you. If you cancel after this time you will be charged. If you late cancel (or no show) a class and have a class pack, a class will be deducted from the remaining classes in your class pack. If you late cancel and have a monthly unlimited account you will be charged a fee of $20.  If you don't show up to class (and don't late cancel), you will be charged the price of a single class ($25/30). For private sessions, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. 

Canceled classes cannot be switched within the 8-hour window. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable, exchangeable, or transferable.  If you need to cancel a reservation, log in to MindBody, go to My Info, click My Schedule and click Cancel next to the class time.  If you have trouble canceling or have any questions, email or call the studio!


What if i need to cancel my contract?

If you need to cancel your monthly auto-renew contract, please email Info@ThePilatesBarreChico.com within 7 days of when your contract is set to renew.


SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR A CLASS IN ADVANCE

We strongly encourage everyone to sign up and pay in advance, but you can always call last minute or walk in to see if there’s a free reformer or spot in the Barre Room!!

 

HOW DO I RESERVE A CLASS IN ADVANCE?

Reservations are made in advance from our website through our MindBody scheduling page or MindBody mobile app. You can click "Schedule", "Book a Class" or click here. You can also call the studio and book through the front desk manager.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE FOR CLASS?

If you are 10 minutes late to a sold-out class, we will give your spot away to the next person on the waitlist. However, we know life can be unpredictable, so if you are running late call us and let us know and we will NOT give your spot away! We can only hold your place for the first 10 minutes of class. After 10 minutes, you will not be allowed into class as it is past the warm-up, and thus unsafe for your body and distracting to the rest of the class. There are no exceptions to this rule.


HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?

If your favorite class is sold out, definitely waitlist it! If a spot opens up, you will be added to the class in the order of where you stood on the waitlist.

  • You will receive an automated text letting you know you have been removed from the waitlist. You will be asked to text back with either “Y/N” to be added to the class. You will have 2 hours to respond to the text, if you say no or do not respond, the next person will be auto-texted by our system. (Make sure you haven't unsubscribed from notifications! This is how the system contacts you).

  • If space opens up within 8 hours of class, one of our team members will call or text you personally to let you know and confirm your spot. If they do not get a verbal or written confirmation, they will contact the next person on the list.

  • If you respond "NO" to the waitlist, you will be removed from the roster. If you don't respond until a time within the 8 hour cancellation time, it will still be considered a late cancel, so make sure to let us know if you are coming when you get confirmed!

  • If you unsubscribe from notifications from the studio when creating your profile or at any time after, you will not receive a notification from our system that you made it off the waitlist. Please make sure to keep notifications active on your account!

 

WHAT DO I WEAR TO MY CLASS?

We suggest you wear comfortable clothing to move in, along the same lines as a yoga class. We prefer that you wear tighter-fitting pants or tops so your clothes don’t hang or move in a manner that obstructs the teacher’s view of your form (you want the teacher to see what your abs are doing!). You will not be wearing shoes during your workout; instead, we welcome socks with grip for safety and sanitary reasons.  If you do not have socks with grip, we sell them in the studio.

 

IF I’M PREGNANT CAN I PARTICIPATE IN CLASS?

If you are pregnant, get your doctor's approval before beginning this or any other exercise program. If your doctor clears you, then yes, you can join us! We ask that you let the instructors know that you are pregnant before class so we can suggest modifications and variations to your workout. In addition, we offer private sessions with one of our pre-natal teacher specialists, so they can give you hands-on attention and personal guidance for your fitness regimen as you progress along.

 

WHAT IS YOUR CELL PHONE POLICY?

We prohibit cell phones during class. If you have an emergency situation, please excuse yourself from class to handle it. Please be respectful of your fellow classmates and teacher!

 

Is there an age restriction for group classes?

Yes! Students 12 – 13 years of age must attend one private pilates session at The Pilates Barre to receive instructor approval prior to joining group classes. Upon receiving instructor approval, students between 12 and 13 may attend class with a parent or guardian present at the studio during the entire duration of the class. The parent or guardian must also sign a waiver at The Pilates Barre to keep on file.

Students 14 – 15 years of age may attend class with a parent or guardian present at the studio during the entire duration of the class. The parent or guardian must also sign a waiver to keep on file.

Students 16 – 17 years of age may attend class with a waiver on file signed by a parent or guardian.


CAN I GIVE MY CLASSES TO FRIENDS?

Classes in your class packs and unlimited packages are non-transferable. 

 

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • All unpaid classes (if attended, a no-show, or a late cancellation), including booked classes that go over your previously purchased series, will be charged to the credit card on file at the single class rate ($25/$30).

  • This is a scent-free environment. Some of our clients and teachers have allergies to perfumes and cologne, so please wait until after you have left the studio to spritz yourself!

  • Pets are not permitted in the studio, so please leave your furry friends at home or outside.

  • Prices, classes, and instructors are subject to change without notice. Please check our website for the most current schedule.

  • WE ARE SORRY, BUT WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL WITHIN 8 HOURS OF THE CLASS START TIME, YOU WILL LOSE A SINGLE CLASS CREDIT.
